I couldn’t be more thrilled to share that I started as Director of Programs at CP Planning this April. CP Planning is an urban and community planning non-profit that uses a human rights-based approach to support affordable housing development and inclusive economies for marginalized communities. Thanks to Cheryll Case for entrusting me with this role.
I’m excited each day to lead a passionate team of community planners and strategists in implementing the Roadmap for Redevelopment Plans to Confront Systemic Racism. The Roadmap is a multiyear action-oriented program that aims to tackle systemic racism and increase affordable housing supply for racialized communities. This program responds to the challenges posed by the lack of congruence between infrastructure planning and guidance from the National Housing Strategy to ensure all Canadians have adequate access to housing.

Our work involves advancing affordable housing initiatives through strategic planning, facilitating the creation of community land trusts, crafting anti-racism and anti-displacement strategies, building community capacity, and forging strong sector-wide partnerships.
I’m enjoying fostering collaboration and partnerships across the affordable housing value chain and stakeholders. Through community engagement and capacity building of racialized communities and non-profits, policy advocacy, and holistic community planning strategies, we’re working to build cities that prioritize the well-being of all residents, especially those who are often left behind.
It’s rewarding and heartening to see that my Archtivism thought leadership and advocacy work has led to this new chapter in my career. I’m committed to using my passion, privilege, and position to make a positive impact in addressing the housing crisis in a just manner.
