Panel: Madame Architect – UIA World Congress, Copenhagen

At the UIA World Congress of Architecture in Copenhagen, Nyasha participated in a compelling panel focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the architecture profession, organized by Julia Gamolina, Founder of Madame Architect. The discussion highlighted the long-standing yet underrepresented contributions of women in architecture, emphasizing the need for greater visibility of their leadership and creativity in shaping our built environment.
The panel featured insights from influential voices, including Julia Gamolina, Sheela Maini Søgaard from BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group, and Kjetil Trædal Thorsen of Snøhetta. Together, they explored the significance of diverse representation in architecture, underlining how varied perspectives lead to richer, more inclusive design. Madame Architect, founded in 2018, serves to celebrate and amplify the stories of extraordinary women in the field, aiming to inspire future generations of architects and designers.
